How did you get into design?
I have always loved drawing people, but I started to sew at 17 and really enjoyed using textiles and fabrics in my art work. When I started at Uni, choosing to study fashion seamed like the the perfect fit for me as I was able to combine textiles and drawing.
What inspires you?
People are my biggest inspiration! I really enjoy observing youth subcultures and especially love the 70s-90s street style culture, for me it feels like the most exciting era for expression through clothing/fashion.
What tips would you give to somebody starting out in design?
Work really hard, be nice to people and be prepared to spend all your money on fabrics! Make sure you love everything you make.
Who’s you’re favourite designer?
What’s your favourite fashion/style app?
Instagram is my most used and favourite app, it’s a great platform to showcase your work to people and explore the world of fashion via a hashtag.
